2014 STUDENT AWARDS

2014 National German Exam

The AATG has announced the recipients of the 2014 AATG/PAD Study Trip. The national selection committee was very impressed with the many extraordinary learners of German and we are proud that two students from North Carolina were chosen to receive awards. Congratulations to the following students and their teachers:

2014 Klett-Langendscheidt Awards

This year’s Klett-Langenscheidt Award in recognition for outstanding effort and achievement in the study of German has been awarded to Chloe McDowell. Chloe is a senior at David W. Butler High School and her German teacher is Mr. Deron Hablutzel. Chloe impresses with her German skills as well as with her knowledge about German culture and contemporary society! Congratulations to Chloe and her teacher!

This year, we are also fortunate to be able to present one Klett-Langenscheidt Award in recognition for outstanding teaching. This year’s recognition has been awarded to Mr. Nabeel Kandah! Nabeel, who had quite a few students participate in the national German Award and supported several wonderful applications for the AATG/PAD Study Abroad trip. Congratulations, Nabeel! The award will be presented at our next chapter meeting in the fall! Thanks to everybody who participated in the 2014 National German Exam! North Carolina had another strong showing.
